With reduction of plastic bags, how resort delivery impacted? Could I purchase a reusable bag and then ask that it be sent to the resort when it gets full? Totally love the idea, just trying to figure out the best approach.

Hi there, Stephanie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for stopping by and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Earlier last year, The Walt Disney Company made waves when they announced a massive step in their commitment toward conservation and environmental consideration. It was announced that by mid-2019, The Walt Disney Company would eliminate single-use plastic straws and plastic stirrers at all of their owned and operated locations around the world. This plan also included transitioning to refillable in-room amenities at all resort hotels and on all cruise ships, eliminating polystyrene cups, and dramatically reducing the number of plastic bags used across all properties. Reusable shopping bags have since become available for purchase and have replaced single-use plastic bags

At this time, all Disney Resort hotel deliveries will still utilize plastic bags. So, if you intend on having your purchases delivered to your resort, you will not be able to use your own reusable bag for this purpose. However, you can purchase reusable bags to be used for shopping trips that will not include resort delivery! This is a great way to reduce the use of plastics while also carrying this adorably-designed bag. In the past few weeks, Walt Disney World Resort has even added reusable bags that are designed after each theme park. I currently use my reusable bag outside of the parks as a thoughtful souvenir that helps the environment!

I hope this has provided a bit more information on the process for Disney Resort hotel deliveries!
