What are some recommendations for staying as a family of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids)? Does it pay to stay in a Villa or if we book 2 rooms at a less expensive resort are you able to request that the rooms be right next to each other?

    Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I encourage you to explore the Villas as a possibility. I lean this way not only because they are incredible, with full kitchens, private washer and dryer, stunning balcony or patio spaces, and room to spread out, but also because Disney Vacation Club Resorts are located in some of the most desirable areas of Walt Disney World Resort.

While it is true that you might find 2-Bedroom Deluxe Villa could cost slightly more than two connecting rooms at a Value Resort, we find savings in other areas. For example, we chose to pre-order our groceries so that they are waiting for us when we arrive. Then, we often cook breakfast using our full kitchen. We might prepare lunch in the room as well and pack it in a soft-sided cooler to enjoy poolside or in a theme park. We have even been known to create a meal in a Crock-Pot in the morning so that we can enjoy a family dinner around the table in our Villa. Thanks to a full washer and dryer, we can pack less and save on excess baggage fees. There are many ways to save!

Connecting rooms at a Value Resort are welcome as a request, but are not guaranteed. To be sure that your family can enjoy your quiet time together, a 2-Bedroom Deluxe Villa is the best option.

I hope that helps! If you would like some suggestions as you chose your next Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, please stop back by! I would love to share my thoughts.

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
