i want some recommendations on bringing a camera? i want to bring my nice one but is too cumbersome or will it get wet or broken? what do most people do?

Hi, Angel!  I go back and forth with my camera.  There are times when my cell phone camera is going to have to suffice, and other times I make sure to have my nicer camera.  I will say that I haven't ever worried about the nicer one getting damaged in any way (I take my own precautions on things like Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids by bringing in my backpack a zip top bag that I can slip the camera into), but especially in the hot Florida sunshine, it can be a little bit cumbersome.

It was much easier when my girls were in strollers, so if you have a little one, you'll be able to put the camera in the basket on the stroller while you are walking around and not have to carry it.  But if you don't mind having the camera around your neck, and this is a vacation where you'll want pictures of a lifetime, bring the better camera.

Also, don't forget the Photo Pass photographers!  You'll encounter them just about everywhere in the theme parks where there is something special to take pictures of.  If you end up not capturing the photos you wanted because you opt out of bringing your nicer camera, utilize a Photo Pass photographer, and you can purchase the photos online when you return home!
