Hi Laurent,
I'm thrilled to help you plan a visit to
Disneyland Paris. Although I am a mom of two, I approached the planning of our spring visit with all ages in mind. My teens are thrill seekers so we were able to tackle all the
high thrill rides without having to consider height restrictions, and also planned for leisurely table service meals without worrying about bedtimes or table manners. I'm happy to share our itinerary to inspire your upcoming adventures.
Our visit was part of a longer international trip so I knew we needed time to acclimate to the time change and get our bearings after an overnight flight. I booked a 3-night Hotel + Ticket Package at Disneyland Hotel which included 3 days of theme park admission. I definitely recommend staying onsite to take advantage of
Extra Magic Time each day, if possible. We were able to tackle many popular attractions in that initial hour before the parks opened to all guests.
After checking in at Disneyland Hotel, we headed to Disneyland Park (mere steps away from the hotel's front desk) and soaked up the atmosphere along Main Street, U.S.A. We also took time to view Sleeping Beauty Castle from all angles, walk through the various lands to get a feel for where things were located, and watch the parade before returning to the hotel when our room was ready. My husband and I let the kids relax while we enjoyed an afternoon cocktail (or two) at Fleur de Lys Bar, just down the hall from our room. After we rested and refreshed, we headed back to enjoy Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean and Mad Hatter's Tea Cups before eating dinner and calling it an early night.
The next morning we headed straight to Big Thunder Mountain followed by Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain (both must-do's) and Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast before a breakfast break. Next, we rode "it's a small world," and experienced Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril before heading over to Walt Disney Studios Park. I loved that our package tickets included access to both parks all day. We got the lay of the land, snapped some photos and rode a few smaller attractions with low waits like Cars Quatre Roues Rallye and Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin before Avengers Assemble: Flight Force. We then got in line for Mickey and the Magician about 25 min before showtime and were luckily able to get a seat toward the top back of the theatre. This show is popular and it was well worth the time. I'd recommend seeing at least one live performance during your visit if not more. We took another afternoon cocktail break back at our hotel before returning for dinner at Bistrot Chez Rémy later in the evening. We ended the night at Disneyland Park with champagne on Main Street, U.S.A. followed by fireworks.
We began the next day back at Walt Disney Studios and purchased
Disney Premier Access One for Crush's Coaster as the wait time was quite long at park opening. We screamed on RC Racer then returned to Disneyland Park for Fantasyland attractions and lunch at Walt's American Restaurant before heading on for more Paris adventures.
This was our very first visit to Disneyland Paris so we focused on the attractions and experiences unique to these parks. Since you won't have as far to travel I think you can accomplish your high priority items in 1-2 park days. We didn't get to experience The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror on this visit, but I'd add that to your list too!
Laurent, I hope this gives you ideas for your most magical day. Come see us again with additional questions.
Magic and memories,
Amy
