Welcome to planDisney, Kimberlee! You might be soaking up the
Walt Disney World Resort magic as we speak, so let's talk about mobility devices you can use during your trip. Disney parks are large enough to hold all the fun, but that can make for a lot of ground to cover!
Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) can be rented on a first-come basis daily at each theme park entrance. You can even rent one at
Disney Springs! My tip would be to arrive early to secure a scooter each morning. If you hop to a different park, you can take your receipt to pick up another one that same day. You can also leave it at the park if you're heading back to your resort for a break; it will be freshly charged and waiting when you return that day.
While theme parks don't typically offer length-of-stay ECV rentals, you can rent one from Disney's preferred provider, ScooterBug, at (800) 726-8284. They can deliver an ECV to your
Disney Resort Hotel for the duration of your stay. Depending on space availability,
Bell Services can store and charge it for you overnight.
If a
wheelchair would suit your needs, you can rent one at each park entrance for the length of your stay. I recently rented one when I was injured, and my husband was kind enough to push me around. He certainly got a workout that day!
I also suggest looking at the
mobility tips and information online. You can learn about accessing queues, using cushioning on select attractions, and more. You can email
Disability Access Services with specific questions or requests at disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Kimberlee, I hope you have an enchanting visit making memories with your family. Please stop by
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
