Welcome to planDisney, Lori!
I trust you're counting down the days until you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort! Make sure you check out
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT. This new walk-through attraction is opening very soon and I cannot wait. I'm sure you'll love it!
When it comes to transportation between the airport and Walt Disney World, I personally like to take a shuttle service. There are currently two shuttle services to choose from. 1) Mears Connect is a service that I've used a couple of times in the past and I have had good experiences with them. 2) Sunshine Flyer can have some pretty good deals if you keep checking their website and social media feeds. The theming is really cool too! Whatever is cheapest when you travel is the one I would choose.
However, if you'd like something with a bit more flexibility, you can also use a rideshare service, like Uber or Lyft. Simply download their respective apps and make a booking at a time that works best for you. The advantage of using Uber/Lyft over a shuttle service is that you can leave when you're ready and you don't have to wait for other Guests. You'll also be taken straight to your
Disney Resort instead of possibly having to stop at multiple Disney Resorts along the way.
One final suggestion would be to consider renting a car. There are a number of rental car companies at Orlando International Airport. And since overnight
parking is free for Guests staying on the property, this is a more affordable option than in the past. You might enjoy the freedom of being able to drive to the theme parks instead of waiting for Disney's transportation.
I hope that's helpful, Lori! Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
