What would you recommend for a family of 5 with budget in mind: connecting rooms at a value resort, family suite at ASM, or a moderate resort? Kids are 2,5, & 8. Thanks for the advice!

Hi, Katie!  As a family of five, I would highly recommend the All Star Family Suites.  Especially if you are on a budget, these family suites will comfortably fit your family, plus offer you a small refrigerator and a microwave.  That allows you to store some snacks and drinks and breakfast items, and that is a definite cost saving measure!

The family suites have two full bathrooms, which was really helpful for us.  The extra bathroom enabled me to bathe the little kids while Dad and big sister got their showers in the other bathroom.  It's also good to have a spare bathroom for potty emergencies - especially with little ones.

The other thing I like about the family suites is that it lets you spread out a bit.  There is a separate sleeping area for mom and dad, where you can watch TV or read after the children go to bed, and you don't have to worry about disturbing them!

You do have a two year old - who technically doesn't count toward room maximums - so you wouldn't need connecting rooms at the value.  You can accommodate the whole family in one room, as long as you have a child under the age of three.  It may help save some money in the long run, although having the extra room is really nice.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
