Recieved flyer from Disney for 35% off moderate resort/40% off deluxe. Had planned to book POR for May 3-9. Should we stick with POR or pick a deluxe instead? Family of 4 with 2 older kids (19/21). If we upgrade, which do you recommend? Thanks!

A big hello to a fellow Ontarian Sarah! Lucky you to receive such a fabulous offer! Port Orleans Riverside is a great moderate resort, and my favourite feature of this resort is the relaxing boat ride to Downtown Disney. If you're going to spend time at Downtown Disney, then it's the perfect spot to be.

If money isn't an issue, then I would certainly consider a deluxe resort. Since your kids are older, you might be spending more time at Epcot and the Hollywood Studios. If this is indeed the case, then I highly recommend staying in the Boardwalk area. Here, you have a choice of three deluxe resorts, the Boardwalk, the Beach and Yacht Club. If a pool is important to you, then definitely go for the Beach or Yacht Club, which offer the best pool on property! All three resorts are a nice walk or short boat ride to both Epcot and the Studios, a fabulous alternative to the buses.  And, you are situated on, or very near, depending on your choice of resort, the exciting Boardwalk area. Here, there are shops, restaurants, and fabulous entertainment for everyone in your party.

I hope this helps Sarah! Please write back if you have any other questions!
