We recently visited disney, ate at Cinderella's Royal table used dining plan to pay, but months ahead I used my discover card to reserve the reservations. How long does it take to receive a refund?

A few of the Disney restaurants, including Cinderella's Royal Table, require use of a credit card to hold a reservation. However, once you are actually at the restaurant, you can ask to have your credit card payment refunded and then actually pay for your meal with another method. This is a very common situation with guests who are on the Disney Dining Plan.

My family dined at CRT a few months ago. We held the reservation with our credit card, but at the restaurant we asked for a refund and actually paid with a Disney gift card. Our server processed the refund request right there at the restaurant while we were still seated. He gave us a receipt that showed that a the refund was being processed. The actual notation of the refund came through on our very next credit card statement. If you do not have your refund within a month, I would certainly contact your credit card carrier and Disney at 407-W-DISNEY to inquire about the status of your refund.
