    Recently a single mom, was curious which cruise would be better from NY, going to the Bahamas or NE. Been to the Bahamas on DCL b4 but worried about the swimming at the beach since one of the kids likes to swim and the other doesnt. Any suggestions?

    Hi Patricia!

    I'm so excited that you are interested in two of the new itineraries that DCL will offer in 2012!  They both sound fabulous to me, but you definitely want to pick the one that is the right fit for your crew!

    If you go with the cruise out of New York, you will be on the ship for 8 nights enjoying 4 glorious days at sea. Here are some things to consider about this itinerary.
    • One of the most exciting aspects of the cruise leaving out of NYC, is that it includes a one-day admission to any of the four Disney Theme Parks while you are docked in Port Canaveral.
    • When you visit Nassau, there are several Port Adventures that do not involve getting wet that both your children could enjoy.  Discover Atlantis allows you to explore the Atlantis Resort and the Aquarium.   Also, the See and Sea Island Tour is great for both kids and adults. 
    • Of course, Castaway Cay is great for swimming but renting a bike to ride on the island would be a great option for your non-swimmer.

    There are two Canada/New England Coast itineraries both including two days at sea.  This cruise will be a fantastic way to learn about the historical cities along the way.  Although the Port Adventures have not been released, DCL will have a range of options available for all types of adventurers!
