We recently set up a character breakfast at Chef Mickey for 11:20 on a day we are going to MK. What is the best way to get to there from the MK and is 11:20 a good time to go as they stop breakfast at 11:30 I'm concerned that buffet will be picked over?

    Hi David,

It's super easy to get from the Magic Kingdom to Chef Mickey's. You can take the monorail or walk. If you want to ride, exit the park and head right to the monorail station. Get on the RESORT line monorail (not the Express) and take it one stop to the Contemporary. To walk, exit the park and turn left, toward the buses. Walk past the bus stop and stay on the path and you'll see the Contemporary just ahead of you. Either method will take about 10 minutes.

I actually love your plan to have a late character breakfast. You can get lots of park touring in during the morning and you'll be ready for a break by about 11:00. There will be other guests with late seatings as well and Disney makes sure that they're all fed properly. The food will be refilled and refreshed until all guests are done eating.

And as for the characters ... I've had my best character interactions by far when we've eaten near the end of a meal service. As guests finish up and leave, the characters have fewer other people to interact with, so they are able to spend more time with the folks remaining in the restaurant. You're likely to have lots of attention from Minnie, Mickey, and the rest of the gang during your meal.

    Enjoy!
