We recently saw a documentary on Christmas at Disneyworld. There was mention of freshly made candy canes somewhere on Main Strret. My husband would love one! Any idea where to get one and the hours they make them? Thanks!

Hi, Stephanie!  The freshly made candy canes are not available at Disney World, but don't be too disappointed that you've chosen Florida over California as your holiday vacation destination!  One of the highlights at Walt Disney World during the Christmas season is the gingerbread!  You will find life sized gingerbread houses at the Grand Floridian and at EPCOT, and there have been fabulous gingerbread displays in some of the other resorts through the years.  You'll find delectable gingerbread treats to enjoy with a cup of hot cocoa.

If fudge is your thing, you can find the amazing candy cane fudge at various locations throughout the theme parks, including the candy shop on Main Street.  Looking for something different in a crisped rice treat?  I've found stockings, Christmas trees, and snowmen during the holiday season - each one just as delicious as the last!

There are candy cane Christmas trees, chocolate covered holiday decorated pretzels, Christmas colored candy corn, and even chocolate Advent calendars (if you're a few days into the season, you'll have to eat enough chocolate to catch you up to date - I hope you don't mind!).

Even the famous DoleWhip gets into the spirit of the season, and in years past has taken on a colorful transformation into holiday green and red (well, pink, but you get the same spirit!).

So don't be dismayed over candy canes!  You may not find exactly what you're looking for, but you will find so much more!

    Happy holidays!
