    I recently returned from a short trip to WDW. Now we are considering a family trip later on this year. Is it possibly to apply my ticket that was used 3 weeks ago to an AP? Obviously the AP renewal date would go back to when the original ticket was used

    I totally understand what you mean about wanting to upgrade your ticket, but unfortunately once a ticket has been completely used, you cannot upgrade it into an Annual Pass. You should know, though, that you can choose to purchase an Annual Pass and then not activate it until the first day that you plan to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. That might help you to maximize the use of your Annual Pass based on your planned travel dates! I know many families who time their trips to make the best us of their Annual Passes, for example traveling in July of one year and then June of the following year.
