I recently renewed our DVC Sorcerer Passes. In past years, I had to stop by Guest Relations to activate them prior to using them. This year, the cast member that assisted me on the phone with the renewal stated that this was no longer required. True?

Welcome back to planDisney, Patrick, and Welcome Home!

Congratulations on the renewal of your Disney Sorcerer Annual Pass! As fellow Disney Vacation Club Members, we enjoy many of the perks and benefits of Membership, but none quite so much as access to the Sorcerer Annual Pass. Let's take a look at activating your renewal.

We have been DVC Sorcerer Passholders for several years and have also had to activate our renewal at Guest Relations each time. However, during our most recent renewal period, I was also told by DVC Member Services that an extra verification step was taken over the phone this year, and I would not need to stop by Guest Relations to activate. While I have not experienced this in person yet, I confirmed this information with a Cast Member and a fellow DVC Sorcerer Passholder planDisney panelist. So it sounds as if Disney Vacation Club wanted Members to say Hakuna Matata as they entered the parks with their Sorcerer Annual Pass renewal.
