I recently purchased tickets to Disneyland and California Adventure, I’ve read that I need to make a reservation too, but my account says I already have one. When I selected specific days that I wanted to buy tickets for, did that make the reservation too?

    Hi Nichol!

We're so happy you stopped by planDisney with your question. With just over a week until your visit, I'm sure you are starting to feel some pixie dust in the air. It's right around this time that I get an extra pep in my step knowing I'll be in the magic and high-fiving Mickey in just a few short days!

Happy to report that you likely made the theme park reservations when you purchased your tickets if you bought them on the Disneyland website. I know the language around reservations can sometimes be confusing, and we have many Guests ask similar questions, so you are in good company! During the check-out process, Guests are asked to select a date and a specific park to visit on that date. If you purchased Park Hopper tickets, you will choose the park where you will start your day and have the ability to hop after 11:00 AM. This is where you made your reservation in the process, so once the transaction is complete, you should be all set, but let's double check.

Head into the Disneyland App and tap the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner. From here, select "Future Plans" to see any upcoming theme park reservations that you are holding with the tickets in your account. If you click into a specific date, you will be able to see which Guests are holding reservations for that day. I'm hopeful that you can see your full party here and that your magical day is set and ready to go!

You'll be catching the last few days of Celebrate Soulfully which runs through the end of February and offers special entertainment to honor Black heritage and culture throughout the parks. The celebration includes character meets with Princess Tiana herself in New Orleans Square and Ariel from the Live-Action film by "it's a small world" at Disneyland Park. Over at California Adventure, you might run into Black Panther, Dora Milaje, and Captain America in Avengers Campus! Several restaurants in Downtown Disney have special offerings on the menu this month as well as live entertainment throughout the resorts. Stroll through the lobby of Pixar Place in the afternoon, and you might get to enjoy the smooth jazz of Joe Gardner from Soul playing the piano!

Nichol, I hope your visit is full of magic. If you have any more questions in your planning, you know where to find us here at planDisney.
