    I have recently gotten braces on my teeth & we will be taking a family vacation to Disney for my son's third birthday in December. Will there be plenty of food that I can eat while there??

    Hi Douglas!
    As a mom with two, count 'em TWO, kids with braces, and a former brace wearer myself. I'm happy to be able to help you out with this question!  Having braces on does not, I repeat, does NOT, impede your ability to enjoy the food that is available at Walt Disney World!  I will say that you definitely have to enjoy your food differently though. 
    In my experience, we have been able to deal with braces most easily at WDW.  One of our techniques is to cut foods that they would normally bite, into smaller more manageable pieces.  This is the case with apples, steaks, even hamburgers.  It allows for easier chewing, and less need to bite into and potential break a front brace.  Also, sadly, they stay away from popcorn, caramel, candy that is gummy or sticky and hard items, such as jawbreakers or lollipops.   If you are experiencing any soreness per se, you can always speak with the server at your restaurant and let them know that you would like to have a meal that might be easier on sensitive teeth.
    Ultimately, fear not!  There are plenty of foods to choose from, and the Cast Members are always willing to suggest anything that might be a good option for you!
