I have recently had gastric sleeve surgery and can only eat small amounts. I wondered if an adult could order from the kids menus at sit down restaurants? I know I can at the walk up restaurants but usually make reservations at one sit down a day!

Hi Joyce...I certainly understand your desire to only order a small portion of food at a restaurant.  You are correct that if you order a child's meal at the counter service restaurants, you will have no issues.  There appears to be no written policy for adults ordering child's entree's at a table service restaurant-from what I've heard, it is strictly up to the individual restaurant whether or not they will allow you to do so. You will want to inquire with your server immediately upon seating, so you will know for sure before you order.  If they do not allow it, perhaps you could choose an appetizer or split an adult meal with a member of your dining party-the portions are usually very generous!  I strongly recommend that you make advance reservations up to 180 days prior to your arrival, to ensure that you get to dine in your chosen restaurants!

I hope this has helped you Joyce-please feel free to ask me any more questions you may have while planning your Disney Parks vacation.
