Hi Serenity,
Disney World has so many magical corners to explore that people don't often make it to one of the hidden gems,
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. The activities at this outpost are endless and are geared toward exploring the magic of the great outdoors. There is everything from horseback riding to archery! You can even take a canoe out onto the lake if you are brave enough.
One of these fun activities is Crockett's Craft Corner: Wine and Woodshop. This event is currently $75 per person and is held on Tuesdays from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM. This is a fun two-hour board-and-brush painting workshop hosted by Hammer and Stain Clermont. Guests ages eight and up can design, paint, and keep a unique rustic wood sign while enjoying snacks and drinks. To book this experience, call
Tours & Recreation as soon as you reach the milestone of 60 days before your visit. There are limited spots, and it books up quickly, so I recommend not waiting. Please note that all activities and events are subject to change so this may not be available during your vacation.
While you are exploring Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, take advantage of some of the other unique experiences. I think one of the coolest things you can do here is the
horse-drawn carriage ride! You can book this or any of the other
Enchanting Extras available at Disney World 60 days before your trip! I have several friends who swear by the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue as a rip-roaring good time and delicious meal that is a must-do if you find yourself exploring the great outdoors at Disney World.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
