Hi Marla! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
I think your plan is a good one. Hopefully, with the help of an
ECV, your current
mobility issues won't prevent you from getting the most out of your upcoming visit. There are a few things to keep in mind, including how you might
access Attractions and
safety, but Disneyland Resort is dedicated to providing a magical experience for all Guests. I have some experience with temporary mobility issues and a much-dreamed-of trip to the parks! I ended up having to rent a wheelchair halfway through a vacation some years ago, and thanks to the rental, I had as much fun as my husband. It was a lifesaver for sure!
You'll
rent your ECV at the same spot where Guests can rent wheelchairs: near the entrance to Disneyland Park. Availability may be limited and prices and terms for daily rental are subject to change. On the Disneyland mobile app, switch the selection on the map from "Attractions" to "Guest Services" to locate the rental location precisely.
There are also
lockers to rent for the day subject to availability, so you can stow things you won't need in the park, including your knee scooter. You'll find the lockers on the opposite side of the Disneyland Park entrance and over by Disney California Adventure Park. Rental lockers come in several sizes, so if you measure your device in advance, you should have a good idea of what size you'll need. I suspect you'll need one of the larger sizes. The large is 15 inches wide by 16.6 inches high and 22.6 inches deep. Extra-large is 15 inches wide by 23 inches high and 22.6 inches deep. Finally, the jumbo locker is 18 inches wide by 25 inches high and 37 inches deep. Prices may change.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
