Hi Liz! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
I was an annual pass holder for Walt Disney World Resort for many years, and I currently am the proud owner of a shiny
Magic Key, which grants me more access to Disneyland Resort, great perks, and discounts. Sales of Magic Keys are currently paused, which happens from time to time. Unfortunately, there's no current system between the parks to reward pass holders from one park to the other. There are no
discounts on
tickets, merchandise, or dining for Walt Disney World Resort pass holders at Disneyland Resort. I'm sorry if that's disappointing! It sure would be nice for those of us pass holders who are lucky enough to visit both during the year, but the parks operate a little differently and don't recognize each other's passes.
Those differences are a big part of the reason we go to the effort to visit both coasts, however. Is this your first time celebrating the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort? If so, be sure to grab an iconic Mickey Mouse Gingerbread Cookie. You won't believe how good it is. I've never found anything quite like it at Walt Disney World Resort. My favorite place to grab one is in the Grand Hall at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The cart has other yummy seasonal treats and beverages to select from, but the gingerbread will sell out early because it's so popular!
Also, be sure to check out the festive holiday overlays on select Attractions. Some of them totally transform the Attraction in a way that will really surprise you. They're pretty elaborate! For our upcoming visit, "it's a small world" Holiday in Fantasyland and the Haunted Mansion Holiday in New Orleans Square top our must-do list in Disneyland Park. What's on your list?
Have a merry time!
Elizabeth
