Hi there, Sonia!
Thank you for asking me your question. I especially enjoy answering questions from fellow Nevadans! I love that Disneyland Resort is just a car ride or short flight away from our home state!
I know how challenging it is to navigate dietary restrictions when traveling, and I can understand wanting a "one-stop" shop for information about gluten-free items. There are many different dietary restrictions and food allergies, and since ingredients can change at any time, I imagine it would be difficult to maintain one comprehensive list, unfortunately.
Allergy-friendly options are not typically listed in the Disneyland mobile app for Table Service Restaurants. Instead, you can note your dietary restriction when making your dining reservations (up to 60 days in advance). As you are completing your reservation, you will arrive at a page that has a subheading titled "Dietary Requests." Select "Edit," choose "Wheat/Gluten," and click "Continue" and proceed to complete your reservation. Also, make sure to let your server know that you need an allergy menu when you are seated.
Most Table Service Restaurants offer gluten allergy-friendly options in my experience. For example, Storytellers Cafe, Goofy's Kitchen, and Carnation Cafe had gluten allergy-friendly Mickey-Shaped Waffles when I had breakfast at those restaurants. For lunch and dinner, I have seen gluten allergy-friendly options at most restaurants, including Plaza Inn, Carnation Cafe, Cafe Orleans, and Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park. Over in Disney California Adventure Park, Wine Country Trattoria (which had rice pasta when I was last there), Carthay Circle Restaurant, and Lamplight Lounge all had tasty gluten allergy-friendly options on their allergy menus. Again, offerings and ingredients are subject to change, but I feel confident you will find delicious choices at most Table Service Restaurants!
Checking out the menus on the Disneyland app is your best bet to find gluten allergy-friendly snacks and meals at Quick Service Restaurants. I'm sorry I don't have one list to refer you to!
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland Park currently has a gluten allergy-friendly version of their delicious Toasted Cheese Sandwich with Tomato Basil Soup that you have to try if it is available during your visit! I also highly recommend the gluten allergy-friendly QuesaBirria Street Tacos from
Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill in Disney California Adventure Park!
Keep in mind that while Disneyland Resort makes reasonable efforts to prevent cross-contact with food allergens, they do not typically have separate allergy-friendly kitchens and cannot guarantee that a menu item is completely free of allergens. However, we have many food allergies in our family and we have safely eaten at Disneyland Resort countless times! You can also bring in your own snacks and food if that makes you feel more comfortable.
Sonia, I hope this information is helpful! Do not hesitate to
reach out to me again if you have additional questions! You can also try contacting the
Special Diets team to see if they can provide more specific information.
Magic Happens!
