I just recently had to cancel my trip due to health reasons well before the 30 day cut off period. How long will it take for the refund to come back to my original payment method? Thanks

Welcome to planDisney, Katherine, and thanks for asking this great question. Although we learned from the Frozen characters that some things never change, in reality, many things do. I hate to hear that health reasons played a part in your decision to cancel your Vacation Package, and I wish you and your family happier times ahead. But I'm glad your plans were altered outside your 30-day arrival window to Disneyland Resort because that means that refund should be headed your way soon.

I spoke to a friendly Cast Member who said it typically takes one to two weeks for vacation package refunds to be issued. Once the refund is released, it still has to be processed by your bank, which could also take a few days. If it's already been two weeks since you canceled, please don't hesitate to contact the Guest Information team to check the status of your refund.

I hope you can rebook a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth soon, Katherine. The Disney100 Celebration is taking place at the theme parks with new nighttime spectaculars like Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland Park. And the brand new attraction Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is fun for all ages. So I'm sending some pixie dust your way so that you can plan a magical trip soon!

Please stop by planDisney anytime, Katherine. We'd love to help!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
