Joseph,
Both
Disney's Beach Club Resort or any of the resorts along the monorail would be ideal for your honeymoon, so no worries there!
Really it is a question of trade-offs. With a 2-year old you will find most of the park-based activities that are in her wheelhouse would be at the
Magic Kingdom, though there is something at every park for every age. There is just more for little kids there than at other parks. If you are going to spend most days at that park, then the convenience of the monorail (or walking from
Disney's Contemporary Resort) is not to be ignored.
On the other hand, the ability to walk in to
Epcot with your daughter in a stroller and not have to hop on transportation is very convenient. And while she may not get the significance of the different nations in the World Showcase, it is a vivid place filled with street entertainment and wonderful sights that is fun for you too. In addition, being able to walk over to
Disney's BoardWalk every evening for some ice cream at
Ample Hills Creamery, and enjoying the
Stormalong Bay Pool at your resort are some pretty big positives for staying put.
BOTTOM LINE: Both resort options have their unique strengths. If it were me and my plans were based primarily around my 2-year old, I would consider changing over to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa if the price was comparable. But if my plans were more about the newlyweds, with an eye to having a 2-year along, I would stay put at the Beach Club Resort and enjoy the easy evening entertainment options.
I hope this helps? Write back if you need more info on choices?
Have a Magical Vacation!
