    I have recently booked a garden view room at the contemporary resort. My children are 5 and 7 is this a good choice or would we be better off somewhere like AoA? I am excited about the proximity to magic kingdom but unsure of what would be best.

    Hi Shannon!

    Congratulations on your Walt Disney World vacation! This is a great question. Having stayed at both Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort, I can honestly say that both offer unique theming and fun recreational activities. As you mentioned, the close proximity to Magic Kingdom Park is a huge benefit of staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort with young children. When my four children were younger, we loved to arrive at park opening when the parks are traditionally less crowded and then return to our Disney Resort hotel for a midday nap or swim.  We would then return to the park in the early evening to enjoy the nighttime activities.

    When staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort,  you can easily walk to Magic Kingdom Park and travel to Epcot via the monorail. By staying on the Resort monorail line, you will have so many dining options at your fingertips. At Disney's Art of Animation Resort, only bus transportation is provided to the theme parks and other Disney Resort hotels.     Although you can't go wrong with either of these amazing resorts, I would personally recommend Disney's Contemporary Resort for your upcoming vacation.  I hope this information is helpful.
