Justin from NJ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I recently became a WDW AP. Prior to that, I booked the "Keys to the Kindom" and "Starlight Safari" tours for my upcoming trip. Do I need to activate my AP to get a discount or can I request now?

    Well hey there, Justin!

I'm so excited to hear you've joined the Annual Passholder family. I actually just renewed my own pass for another year of magic and can't wait to be back "home."

You've also made some great choices from the Enchanting Extras Collection for your upcoming visit! I took Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour in 2022, and it's still one of my favorite experiences ever at Walt Disney World Resort. I loved hearing stories and trivia about the parks and really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes looks at the Utilidor and other Cast member-only areas. I have yet to experience Starlight Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge but have also heard great things about this safari adventure. This resort is so peaceful, I just know you'll have a magical time on this after-dark tour.

I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed the only way to guarantee any eligible discounts would be to rebook these tours. You'll need to be signed in to your My Disney Experience Account to ensure your Annual Pass discounts are applied. Once you book the experiences you can cancel the original bookings for a refund, as long as you are within the cancelation windows. If the tours no longer show availability you can visit with Cast Members when you check in for your Keys to the Kingdom Tour and see if they can retroactively apply the discount. Unfortunately, I can't guarantee this will be possible, but it's worth asking.

If you've booked a resort room using an Annual Pass special offer you'll need to be sure to activate your pass before checking in. You can do this at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs or the main entrance to any of the theme parks on the first date of your visit.

I hope this helped, Justin. If we can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.

    Wishing you a magical year,
    Amy
