Hi, Kelly! I'm so glad you contacted the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! My best friend is a single mom who travels to The Most Magical Place on Earth with her three children at least once a year. She often refers to herself as a "Minnie who's without her Mickey." I turned to her for some advice, and I'm happy to share her thoughts.
Luckily, many of the attractions at the Parks are able to accommodate groups of three guests, and this is very helpful to parents traveling solo with young Mouseketeers.
Children are allowed to ride by themselves at age 7 or older, so in her case, when her oldest daughter reached this age, it made things even easier for their family.
In
Magic Kingdom Park, some of her favorite attractions to enjoy with her kids are:
The Jungle Cruise
Pirates of the Caribbean
The Haunted Mansion
"it's a small world"
Peter Pan's Flight
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
In
Epcot, she suggests:
Turtle Talk With Crush
Spaceship Earth
Living with the Land
Frozen Ever After
In
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park:
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Na’vi River Journey
The Festival of the Lion King
And in
Disney's Hollywood Studios:
Alien Swirling Saucers
Muppet*Vision 3D
Some experiences at the theme parks do have
minimum height requirements, so take a look at the Walt Disney World website for official information.
I hope this helps, Kelly! Please write back if there's anything else we can do!
