    I recently became a passholder and was looking forward to getting a premium band. Since they are sold out if I get the complimentary one now will I have the option to get the premium at a discounted rate when they are back in stock?

Welcome to the Walt Disney World Passholder Family, by the way!  Annual Passholders have access to great discounts, as I'm sure you've heard by now. Spending an evening shopping and dining at Disney Springs is one of my favorite things, and it's easier on my wallet with an Annual Pass stashed in my purse.

    Apparently, I wasn't the only one super excited about the new upgraded MagicBand options at Walt Disney World Resort! Twitter has been abuzz with news on the popular sold out bands, and recently, the Disney Parks Blog posted this on their site, "UPDATE 5/24: Due to strong popularity, our MagicBand upgrade options are temporarily out of stock. Disney Resort hotel Guests and new and renewing Walt Disney World Annual Passholders may continue to choose from a selection of complimentary solid-color MagicBands. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are working to replenish our inventory as soon as possible." My advice is to be persistent and to check your My Disney Experience account every few days. The Cast Member I spoke to said Passholders are able to order only one MagicBand per year of their Annual Pass, so unless you have an imminent trip on the horizon, I'd hold out for the premium style band.
