Hi, we recently became DVC members with more than 1 home resort. To qualify to book 11 months in advance, you have to have enough points at that resort. Will DVC allow you to borrow from a home resort pool if you still have unbooked points from another?

    Hi Kellen,

I too have two home resorts and I am always making sure I have enough points at that home resort to reserve my room on my vacation.

You must have enough points at the home resort you would like to book at the eleven to seven month window. You can not borrow from the other resort in order to make up the points to book in that window. You can borrow from another use year at the same resort.

For example, I own both Boardwalk and Saratoga Springs. If I wanted to book at Boardwalk during my 11 month window, I would need enough points at Boardwalk to do that during the priority window. If I do not have enough, I can borrow from the next use year from the Boardwalk to allow me the points to book in the priority.

If you are not as concerned with the priority window, then you have a little more flexibility using your points at both home resorts to make a magical vacation.

If you have any questions, please call Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 and the vacation adviser will answer all of your questions.

I hope this helps you plan a magical vacation!
