Welcome Home, Marney!
I’m so glad you've decided to join Disney Vacation Club! We've been Members for 12 years and we’ve come to love it more every year. We even added onto our Membership for extra fun and flexibility. There is always
somewhere new to stay or new adventures to be had with our Membership!
There are two ways to book with your Membership. You can book online on the
Disney Vacation Club Member Website or you can
call Member Services. I prefer to use the website whenever possible. If you have not created your account yet, you’ll need to call Member Services for an activation code. Be sure to use the same login that you use for My Disney Experience. While your reservation data won’t flow through, some parts do talk to each other, so it is important to use the same login. If you already have your online account set up you are ready to make a reservation!
From the “My DVC” menu option on the top right of the Disney Vacation Club Member Website, you can select "My Dashboard" to see an overview of your Vacation Points and any current booked vacations. Or select “Plan a Vacation” from the top menu and then “Book a Vacation.” From there you can enter the number of Guests, dates, room types you are looking for, and dates. Remember, you can book your Home Resort up to 11 months before your check-in date, and other resorts up to 7 months before check-in.
After you have booked a stay, you will take your Disney Vacation Club Reservation number and enter it into
My Disney Experience. In My Disney Experience, go to “My Plans” and then scroll down until you’ll see the blue circles with options like “Family & Friends," and “Resort Hotel.” Select the option for “Resort Hotel” and you’ll get an option to “Link a Reservation.”
Once you have your Disney Vacation Club resort reservation linked, you can use My Disney Experience as usual to purchase standard Disney Theme Park Tickets, make
Disney Park Pass Reservations, book dining, and
enchanting extras. If you prefer to call Member Services, they can assist you with these things as well, though for some things online is a better choice. For example, if you are in search of a popular dining reservation, you will have better luck going online through My Disney Experience at 6 AM Eastern, rather than waiting for Member Services to open at 9 AM.
If you are looking to book something Disney Vacation Club specific like a Member Event, a tour or party that offers a Disney Vacation Club discount, or discounted Annual Passes, those usually need to be purchased by calling Member Services. Again, in these situations, any confirmation number given can then be entered into your My Disney Experience Account so that you can see your plans all in one place!
I hope this helps you get started, Marney, and I hope you’ll send more questions our way as you learn more about Disney Vacation Club. We are fellow Members who love talking DVC and are here to help!
Wishing you
Membership Magic!- Kate
