Recently we ate at the Plaza. The meal began not so great when my 11 yr old would not try anything on the adult menu. Our meal was saved when our server fetched the juniors menu.Is this everywhere inside the resort?I'd like to not be tied to counter services

    Hey Kim!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for bringing us your question.

I recently returned from a trip to Walt Disney World with my 15-year-old daughter. I would call her a less then adventurous eater. Yet, I wanted to eat at some of the signature restaurants on property such as Jiko.  When I asked the Cast Member for a kid's menu they were more then happy to oblige. My daughter was able to order a cheese pizza while I enjoyed some of the amazing African cuisine Jiko has to offer.

I would suggest making all the Advanced Dining Reservations you wish. Prior to arriving at Walt Disney World review the menus with your 11-year-old for the restaurants you plan to enjoy. This will give you a chance to discuss each item and explain what they are. It will also give you an indication of which restaurants you will want to consider options from the kid's menu.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical Disney vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
