You recently answered my question about the dining plan.I was wondering how it would work if family members were to dine at different locations would their own card represent their meal entitlements. My daughter would be eating with my parents one night.

Thanks for writing back, Bernadette!  That's a great question!  Family members are more than welcome to dine at different locations simultaneously while on the Disney Dining Plan. Basically, all of the family members in that Resort Room will have all of their Dining entitlements "lumped" together as one party. They are not listed individually. With that being said, it does not matter which family member uses their Key To The World Card for snack or meal entitlements.  All meals redeemed will be deducted from the family's remaining balance. Your daughter can definitely use her Key To The World Card, while out with your parents, and you can use yours simultaneously at a different restaurant. They would just deduct one table-service or one quick-service meal (depending on the type of dining location she will be at ) from your party's plan when your daughter pays for her meal. At the same time, they can deduct the number of meals you will be redeeming from the plan as well. Think of it if you may like a Debit Card with your banking account. You start with a certain amount of money (dining entitlements) for the entire family and can make deductions from the account at your discretion.  Any of the family members can make withdrawals from the "family account."  Just as you would get a receipt at the bank when making a withdrawal, the snack carts or dining locations will print you a receipt after each dining purchase with your family's remaining entitlements. These will be broken down into three categories : snacks, table-service, and quick-service entitlements for the entire family.  Please feel free to ask me as many questions as your like regarding the Disney Dining Plan or if I can make any dining suggestions for your upcoming trip!  Best wishes for a Magical Walt Disney World Vacation, Bernadette!
    Happy Planning,
