Welcome back, Rebecca!
It is very hard to recommend one over the other, to be honest. Because I love Rome and Florence, the
seven-night Mediterranean itinerary offers some great Port Adventures to really allow children and adults to experience those cities to the fullest. However, because I love Venice and the Greek Isles, I highly recommend the
nine-night Mediterranean sailing too. In addition, two extra nights with Disney Cruise Line is a plus!
I'd also love to get to Ephesus. I don't know about you, but that is not someplace in which I'd normally just book a family vacation, though its rich cultural history is so alluring to me. So, the fact that the Magic makes a one day port stop there is very appealing to me and I would probably choose that itinerary, because I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to spend time with my family in Ephesus otherwise.
If you've never been to any of those cities before, you should take a look at the
Port Adventures and see which appeal more to your family. However, if you've already been to one of those cities, opt for the cruise heading to the others, as you'll discover all new places in the world.
While I was in the Mediterranean with Disney Cruise Line this past summer, I hosted a series of videos about some of the Mediterranean ports which should be out soon. Keep an eye on Disney Cruise Line's website and the Disney Parks Blog as well as Disney Cruise Line's YouTube page. Getting a glimpse into the beautiful scenery and Port Adventures in those cities in the videos might help you decide as well. Good luck, Rebecca!
