Meep meep, Christopher! As a child growing up in the 70s and 80s, I never missed a Sunday night episode of the Muppets. Miss Piggy has always been my favorite diva, and I make sure to catch
Muppet*Vision 3D in Disney's Hollywood Studios once every trip.
I happened upon the Muppet Mobile Lab when I was walking through Future World in Epcot a few years back. The world-renowned Muppet scientist, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his lovable assistant, Beaker, rolled around the Park on a rocket ship made out of a Segway, performing interactions with Guests (including shooting confetti out of cannons). I chatted with a Guest Services representative today, and she said that unfortunately it was quietly discontinued earlier this year. You never know when it might be brought back, but currently, the only place to see The Muppet Mobile Lab is at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
In the meantime, let's talk about all the excitement that is set to open at Epcot in the next few months! Space 220 is a new restaurant adjacent to Mission: SPACE opening in winter 2019; it sounds like this dining experience is going to be outta this world! Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is a brand new attraction that will be located in the France Pavilion, and it is based on its namesake that opened in 2014 at Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris. At D23, an opening date of summer 2020 was confirmed. Also opening in the France pavilion next summer is the new restaurant La Crêperie de Paris.
Epcot Forever is the new nighttime replacement show for
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth opening on October 1; however, Epcot Forever is the interim show before the debut of "HarmonioUS" in 2020.
Christopher, stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog, for all the up to date transformations of Epcot that will be underway for the next few years. We hope to see ya' real soon!
