Hey there, Eric!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm happy to help you maximize the magic on your visit this year.
Theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets but are still necessary for other ticket types. If you selected a date when purchasing your
1-day ticket there are no additional steps needed before you arrive at the entrance gates. However, it sounds like you may have been gifted 1-day Magic Your Way Base tickets that aren't tied to a particular date. You can use these until the expiration date listed in your
My Disney Experience Mobile App but will most likely need to secure a theme park reservation to enter the park of your choice.
You can do this by
accessing the "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations" link on this page. The system will ask you to select which ticket you'd like to apply the reservation to and you can follow the prompts to complete your selection. Be sure to review the
availability calendar when making your selection, as all parks might not be available on a given day.
If you run into any issues or need further assistance you can contact a Cast Member by phone, as
my pal Jason advised another guest. They'll be able to look up the ticket number and advise of any restrictions or blockout dates.
I'm excited for you to get the fun started at one of Walt Disney World Resort's incredibly themed parks. If you need guidance on where to visit and what to experience please feel free to come back and let us know. We'd be happy to help you make a game plan to tackle the exciting attractions, dining, and entertainment options available.
Magic and memories,
Amy
