Received MagicBands on our last trip in August. Just today found out that they are reusable. Unfortunately, we didn't realize this at the time (we gave them to our nephew to keep as souvenirs). How do we get them replaced for the next trip?

    Hi Scott,

    No worries.

While the MagicBands are reusable, there's no requirement that you actually reuse them. Each time you book a stay at a Disney resort hotel, you'll automatically be given a new set of MagicBands for your party. As far as I can tell, there's no way opt of getting new bands, you just get more regardless of whether you've had a previous WDW visit. I'm now on my 4th set - well on my way to collecting all the colors.

But since you no longer have some bands in your possession, I would encourage you to deactivate them from your account. Go to DisneyWorld.com and click on My Disney Experience at the top of the page. Then under My Account, click on MagicBands and Cards. Select the bands that you've give to your nephew and deactivate them. This way your personal information will no longer be linked to them.

When you book your next trip, you can choose new bands and you'll be all set to go in the parks.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We're happy to help.
