We just received our magic bands for our upcoming awesome trip. My daughter saw on Pintrest that people are painting designs on them. Is this something that would harm the bands or interrupt how they work? If painting is alright , what type of paint is OK?

Hi, Cherri! I can tell you from personal experience that you absolutely can decorate your MagicBand, even the Mickey icon. This is a great way to show your #DisneySide while in the theme parks. Before a recent trip to Walt Disney World Resort, I did a search on Pinterest for MagicBands and was amazed at all of the unique ideas that popped up. I ended up decorating one from a previous stay to look like a Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bar. Of course, it just made me hungry and constantly looking for the nearest ice cream location! Check out sites such as Pinterest or youtube to find great ideas or see what kind of paints are being used. In my experience, acrylic paints worked very well. I Have also used a matte top coat nail polish to seal the design.

There are so many genius ways to decorate your MagicBand. Think about your favorite Disney-related character or event and get your creative juices flowing. So let's get to decorating, Cherri! Let us know if you have any further questions. Happy painting!
