I received an invitation to help test the new MagicBands and see that there is an option to customize the bands with different colors and adding names. Do you know where the names are displayed on the bands?

    Hi, Amy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on having been selected to receive a MagicBand and be part of the ongoing testing for the new MyMagic+ technology! MagicBands will be officially rolled out to Guests later this year, but it's so exciting that you'll be one of the very first to experience them in the parks!

Your first name will be printed in white lettering on the inside of the MagicBand (roughly opposite the larger embossed Mickey ears icon which appears on the exterior). Guests can choose from one of seven colors for their MagicBands. (Pink is my choice!)

There are also some very cool "add-ons" available to further customize your MagicBand: CoverBands, MagicSliders and MagicBandits. These accessories have already started popping up in a few locations on property (namely, the gift shops at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Contemporary Resort). I personally think the MagicBandits are a lot of fun; they are very similar to Crocs Jibbitz. The MagicBandits set themed to The Nightmare Before Christmas has my name on it! The set features three characters from the film: Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie and, my personal favorite, Zero (Jack's ghost dog)!

Have fun testing the new MagicBands and please feel free to send along any additional questions. We're here to help!
