Hi I have received my emailed confirmation for our tickets and have linked it in the my disney experience app but what happens on the first day I arrive. Do I pick up my tickets from guest services? Do I just show my confirmation number from the email? X

    Hello Ashley!

Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that your visit is coming up so soon! It’s almost time to start packing. The weather in December can be warm during the days but quite cool at night, so be sure to pack layers as well as your Mickey Ears!

With almost everything now digital, you won’t receive anything in the post before your arrival. You have a few options, and some vary on if you are staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel or not. I’m not sure from your question if that applies to you, so I’ll go through all the options.

First, you can load your Disney Theme Park Tickets onto your Apple or Android mobile devices such as a mobile phone or smartwatch using Disney’s Magic Mobile Service. This option is free for all Guests and you can set it up before arrival! This would allow you to skip any lines on arrival, or need to carry any physical cards. You could go directly to the magic!

If you’d like to use MagicBands, you can purchase them at a Disney gift shop after arrival and link them to your account on the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Guests at Disney Resort Collection Hotels have the option to pre-order discounted MagicBands. For those Guests that reside outside the United States, pre-purchased MagicBands will be waiting for you upon arrival at your Disney Resort Collection Hotel. You can also stop at the front desk upon arrival to receive a complimentary Key to the World Card that will work to open your room door, and function as your park ticket if you prefer not to use MagicBands or MagicMobile.

If you are not staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel, and prefer a physical ticket, you’ll need to stop at a Ticket Window or Guest Relations outside a theme park to pick up a physical ticket card. Please be prepared to show a photo ID for all adult Guests ages 18 and older.

I hope this helps to explain all your options, Ashley! Wishing you a magical holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
