    I have a confession, Jennifer. I am *that* Mom who gets all excited about laundry technology. So, you may want to grab a super-size bottle of detergent and hold on tightly, because this Mom is about to get extremely excited when I tell you about the cool new features in your Resort's laundry room!

    Most Walt Disney World Resort laundry rooms have been converted to accept only debit/credit card payments. At last report, Disney's Pop Century Resort had completed the conversion. You will find upgraded washers and dryers at the laundry rooms near the Hippy Dippy Pool, the Bowling Pool and the Computer Pool. The new machines offer faster cycles to reduce wash time and an increase in capacity for larger items. Yes! Fewer loads to complete so I can get back to vacation!

    OK, this is the bubble-rrific news ... emails from the washing machine that your cycle is complete. Go ahead, read that again. The machines will actually send you a notification upon request to alert you that one is available (no more standing there, just staring and waiting on a free machine!) or will tell you when your laundry is done. You can see this program in action at LaundryView.com/disneyworld. When you click on a Resort, it will give options to view current status on the machines in each of the laundry facilities within that Resort. Take a look at the FAQs for more information on how to receive notifications.

    I have another confession, Jennifer. I am now staring at the machines in the Bowling Pool laundry room and willing the owner of the clothes inside to come rescue their poor wet clothes, just so I can see the machine swap from Idle to Available. THIS. IS. FASCINATING!
