I received a 4 day 1 park Disney World ticket from my uncle who lives in Florida. He purchased them with the Florida resident discount. Can I use that ticket or will I not be let into the parks because I am not a Florida resident?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mollie! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question!

It was very generous of your uncle to purchase Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets for you! Unfortunately, only Florida Residents with Proof of Florida Residency are able to use tickets meant for Florida Residents. Since the tickets have not been used, your uncle could re-assign the ticket to himself and can gift you a Disney Gift Card so that you can purchase your own ticket. Or he can purchase a regular theme park ticket for you online or at a ticket window at any of the four theme parks upon arrival.

If you’re planning a trip to the most magical place on earth, right now is a pretty good time to purchase tickets for three days or longer. You can save $20 on the price of regular theme park tickets by purchasing directly from the Walt Disney World Resort ticket site

Mollie, if you have a family vacation in the works that includes your uncle, he may be able to take advantage of Special Offers for Florida Residents on Disney Resort hotel room rates. There’s no reason he can’t treat you or other family members to a stay at a Disney Resort hotel when you visit together!

I hope this information is helpful! Feel free to stop by again to see us if you have any other questions. Helping you with the details of your next visit is our pleasure!
