Hello, We received our cruise contract/document book in the mail the other day. I have a question on tipping. Our cruise is for 3 nights and it says exp. restaurant server $12.00 a person. Is that a day or for the whole cruise?

    Ahoy, Dee!

Thank you for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your questions about your imminent cruise! If you have already received your documents, that means it won't be long now before you are enjoying all that the Disney Dream has to offer!

It is customary to tip your dining room server, dining room assistant server, dining room head server, and your stateroom host/hostess on your cruise. These amounts break down like this:

    Per person, per night

    Dining Room Server  $4
    Dining Room Assistant Server $3
    Dining Room Head Server  $1
    Stateroom Host/Hostess  $4

So, that means that in your document book, when it says $12 a person for gratuity, it is for your entire 3-Night cruise. You will receive small envelopes and a perforated gratuity sheet in your stateroom. You will put the appropriate person's gratuity slip into each envelope and you will give them to your servers at dinner on your last evening. We will usually include an additional cash gratuity inside the envelopes, especially when our servers have been outstanding (which is always!).

Have a wonderful cruise! Please visit us again if you have any more questions before you set sail.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
