Welcome aboard, Robyn! You must be so excited to be setting sail so soon with
Disney Cruise Line! Whether this is your very first cruise or your tenth, every sailing with Disney is unique and magical, so you're in for a really wonderful time!
Disney Cruise Line does not currently utilize
MagicBands as you'd find in the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. Instead, each guest receives a Key To The World Card which serves as their charge card for their stateroom account, key to the stateroom, and identification to link photos with characters onboard. If you have a lanyard, bring it along, as that's a handy way to keep the Key To The World Card on you wherever you go. Castaway Club members, those who have sailed with Disney before, will receive club level lanyards when they check in, but first time guests should bring their own or purchase on onboard if they'd like one.
You may have seen pictures of some children onboard Disney's ships wearing what look to be MagicBands. If you have children who will be attending the
Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab for ages three to twelve, they will receive a Oceaneer Band that works similarly to a MagicBand, keeping their information right at hand. Kids scan the band when they enter the Youth Club and again when a parent checks them out of the clubs. They'll receive these when they first check in with the clubs onboard, or in the port terminal at the Youth Club desk.
I hope those details help as you prepare to set out to sea with Captain Mickey and his crew, Robyn!
Happy planning!
Marcy
