Do you reccomend TREX in downtown disney as first night dining with a 15 month old. 18 month old, 4 yr old, 11 yr old and 4 tired parents lol. It looks great, is it that loud?

I just ate there in December, and here are my observations.

    • It is essentially a Rainforest Cafe, but with dinosaurs instead of jungle beasts. If you have been to one of those before, use that as your best indicator as to whether you should go.
    • As for the noise level, I thought it was pretty loud, but not deafening. A lot of it has to with what room you are in, which I would expect gives you the chance to request a quieter location to make that issue not matter.
    • As to a general recommendation, it is definitely for kids.
    • I thought the food was just OK, and getting something healthy seemed fairly out of the question.

I would probably not return, unless I had kids in tow. And even then I might think about other options elsewhere in the Disney World area, thought it is probably the best kid-focused choice within Downtown Disney. If you do come, I recommend trying the Ice Age room, where you are surrounded by ice (not real), bathing you in a cool blue light, and making for a fun and cool ambiance.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
