    I really value this panel and all your insight, thank you for making my planning more efficient and enjoyable! I am curious as to why Epcot will start Illuminations and then close at 8pm on Fridays in January. How does this work with EMH in the evening?

    Thank you for your question and kudos Trisha! Park hours vary based on season. You are correct that Epcot closes at 8 pm on most Fridays in January.  Illuminations takes place at 8pm, and then Extra Magic Hours for guests staying at Disney hotels begin!

    You might find it useful to visit the monthly theme park calendars. If you click on a specific date, you will get a listing of park hours, any special events taking place that day, parade and fireworks times as well as any attractions that are closed.
