We would really like to stay at a resort better than the value resorts but the money is a big difference with airline tickets rising. Do you know of any free dining to help compensate for the added cost? I know they give our pins sometimes,

    Erik,

To date I have not heard of any Free Dining promotions being announced by Disney. While they had become fairly common, the time where they might have been announced has mostly passed, so there is a chance they may not offer that this year. Hard to know for sure.

But I will tell you that the Free Dining packages often save you less money than the Room Discount programs. Of course your group makeup and dining preferences can impact that, but for our family the Room Discounts have always saved us more than the dining packages. The reason why is that with the free dining packages you are paying full price for your room, and that can be a higher expense for many families than their dining budget.

The best thing you can do is work with a Disney authorized vacation planner who can find out ALL the programs being offered and recommend what is best for your group. As long as they are a NO FEE agency like Mouse Fan Travel, Be Our Guest Vacations or Dreams Unlimited, you are spending no more money on your trip, and getting that expert eye into what will save you the most money.

FYI, I like to think that I am a bit of a Disney expert. But I still use these agencies to book my trips. That should tell you something!

Write me back if you have any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
