Really would like to see River of Lights when my family comes to WDW in September 2020. Can you tell me what days of the week this show ran on in September of 2019?

Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Lisa and thank you for bringing us another vacation question! Disney’s Animal Kingdom is my favorite Walt Disney World theme park and I just love gushing about all of the incredible things to see and do and of course, eat, while visiting. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is visually stunning, with the beautiful Tree of Life, the gorgeous otherworldly land of Pandora - The World of Avatar, exotic jungle trails, and Mount Everest. There are attractions for every thrill level, from the adventurous Avatar Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest to the gorgeous views of the Kilimanjaro Safaris and the Na’vi River Journey; you are sure to find options for every member in your party. You can also find some really unique and delicious quick-service and table-service restaurants such as Satu’li Canteen, Yak & Yeti Restaurant and Local Food Cafes, Harambe Market, and Tiffins Restaurant. Plus, you can find the famous Pineapple Dole Whip at Tamu Tamu Refreshments; what is there not to love about this park?

Rivers of Light: We are One is a truly beautiful pageant of lantern floats taking you on a journey through the great circle of life. In September of 2019, Rivers of Light: We are One took place at least once an evening, every day of the month aside from September 1st and 3rd. According to the Walt Disney World Operational Updates Page, some experiences that draw large group gatherings, such as fireworks and nighttime spectaculars, will return at a later date which has not yet been disclosed. I highly recommend that you continue to check the Operational Updates Page as well as the Disney Parks Blog to stay up to date on the latest information as it becomes available.

I hope that you have a wonderful visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth this September and are able to enjoy Rivers of Light: We are One. Even if this nighttime spectacular is unavailable, I know you will have an incredible time in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Please stop back by if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
