Hi Nicole!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney!
I was lucky enough to go to
Jollywood Nights last year, and just like you, I was a bit skeptical! But I have to admit…not only did I have a blast at the party with my friends, but I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to go again in the future. Let’s chat about all the reasons why!
While the party ticket doesn’t include free treats like
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, it does include all digital downloads of your
Disney PhotoPass photos and videos from the event. That’s such a huge perk because you won’t need to pay for
Memory Maker separately in order to get access to all of those great memories.
Plus, the photos and videos taken at Jollywood Nights are some of the most fun I’ve ever seen at Disney World! Last year, my group was able to get a slow-motion video that still brings a smile to my face.
In addition to the photo ops, you’ll get a chance to see so many rare characters around the park. I love a good throwback, and being able to meet characters like Phineas and Ferb, Baloo and King Louie from TaleSpin, Max Goof as Powerline, and Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers is right up my alley.
Moving on to entertainment, this is the main reason I’d be happy to go to this party over and over again. There are so many things to see! My favorite part of the night was watching the ice skating show, Glisten! And my biggest regret of the night was not making time to go to the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club (but that sounds like a great excuse for me to go to the party again!).
Of course, you’ll be able to enjoy some of your favorite attractions around the park with shorter wait times. Although, to be honest, I didn’t go on a single ride during party time because there were so many other things to do!
This year, guests with tickets to Jollywood Nights will be able to enter
Hollywood Studios earlier than ever before, beginning at 5:30 PM. So I’d recommend heading to some of your favorite attractions during that time, then spending your party time enjoying the exclusive party offerings. You’ll even be able to watch
Fantasmic before the party begins if you’d like!
Finally, there’s nothing quite like standing in the middle of a twinkling Hollywood Studios with “snow” falling all around you. It’s one of my most magical memories at that park.
No matter what decision you make, I’m sure you’ll have the best trip! But I truly think Jollywood Nights really is something special. So, I personally say...go for it if your budget allows! Just make sure to go into the night with a plan so you can see the things you have your heart set on.
