Is it really that much further away from the shuttle pick-up if you dont stay at a preferred room in the All Star sport resort?

I have been in some of the farthest rooms at the All-Star Sports resort, and I didn't find it to be too long of a walk to the lobby, food courts, and bus stops.

According to some rough measurements I just made in Google Earth, the furthest rooms from the shuttle are less than 1/5th of a mile from the shuttle pick-up areas.  This is about the same distance as walking from the entrance to the Magic Kingdom to the center of the hub in front of Cinderella's castle.  If that doesn't sound too far for you, you shouldn't have any problem.  In most cases, your room will be even closer. If being closer is very important, be sure to call and have a note added to your reservation that you would like to be as close as possible to the bus stops.

Also keep in mind that sometimes the rooms that are farther from the bus stops (and hotel lobby, and main pool) are quieter and closer to some of the parking lots, which can be helpful if you use a car for some of your transportation.

    Hope that helps.
