I really appreciate all of your helpful answers! I was curious about the Candlelight Processional and if it is something we should do with a 2 and 4 year. It sounds wonderful for adults, but worries me a little for small kids. Will they enjoy it?

    Hi Kolby,

Thank you so much for the kind words.

The Candlelight Processional is a beautiful experience, particularly for Christians. Young children are certainly welcome to attend, but frankly, I don't think I would have brought my own children when they were preschoolers.

The show itself lasts 45 minutes and typically guests will line up about 45 minutes to an hour in advance to get seats. The seating is on metal benches. The music is in turns both joyful and solemn and there is portion of quiet Biblical narration. My own children would have been too squirmy doing this for me to enjoy the serenity of the moment. However, if your kids are good with sitting still for the duration of a church service or a movie, then they may be fine at the performance.

Additionally, you may want to consider the weather in your decision factors. The America Gardens theater is open and outdoors. If it is particularly cold, windy, wet, etc. this may influence both your children's behavior and your experience of the performance. If you do decide to go, you may want to position yourself on an aisle. You can always sneak out to leave if you need to.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
