I realize the picnic at Animal Kingdom requires an adult qs credit on the dining plan. My question, would a picnic package for 3 feed 2 adults and 2 children? I have read how large portions can be on other meals. Thank you.

Hi, Jessica!  I don't know how old your kids are or if anyone in your family is a particularly big eater, but I will tell you with my recent experience with the picnic, the meal for three very easily fed the two adults and two children in my party that afternoon.

We ordered the rotisserie chicken for our picnic, and it was myself, my husband, and my eight and four year old daughters.  There were eight pieces of chicken, but at least a few of the pieces were quite large, and more than enough for one of the kids.  The side dishes are about the same size as the large sides you would get with a meal at your local KFC, and you can choose heavier sides that will fill the family up.  We opted for macaroni and cheese as one of our side dishes, and it was so thick and creamy that you really didn't need to put that much on your plate to be satisfied.  Our other side was the fruit salad, and the kids really enjoyed that.

You will get three desserts, but the brownie we chose was a large brownie, and it was so rich that we were able to split that several ways.  We also opted for a cookie as one of our desserts, and it wasn't even touched, we were all so full!

The only thing I think you might have to add is an extra drink.

I can't tell you much about the sandwiches on Tier 1, as we didn't try them, but the family I spoke with while I was there said there was plenty of food for them.  The sandwiches did look to be a generous size.

    Have a great vacation!
